Big Hair Tie

Big hair ties for dreadlocks etc.
Since we met Angela Grove of The Happy Hippy Tea Shoppe has been growing her hair into dreadlocks, with varying degrees of success at tying them back ; scarves etc. Recently while I was painting on wood slices one evening she asked if I could make something that consisted of a slice with a hole in big enough for a toggle to go through and a toggle also with a small hole through. This I then decorated with leaves. She then attached the two parts together to make a toggle fastening hairtie. I made a few more and decorated with various designs; celtic knotwork and zero horizon skies, which quickly sold at market events. Recently I was commissioned to design a rastafarian themed one;  research inspired the rastafarian star of david while the religions use of marijuana is illustrated with a spliff toggle. Recently added to the range is an indigo third eye with a white toggle representing a spiritual shaft of light.
