"The Masons Arm`s" a village tribute
By 2020 I had not painted/ created in over 15yr. One afternoon while taking a walk I took a few photos including the village pub, The Mason`s Arms. Looking at the history of Dinnington by Miles Watson gave me ideas of images to place around the main building piece. These in the end piece are to be found on page 12 where I have used the cloud structure in John Lough`s impression of the Bellasis in ancient times, Pages 24, 26 29 for the Hazelrigg, Bell & Mitford family crests which I have shown as markers on the village green. Page34 gave a wecoming miner in the face of Stewart Marley. Page 84 supplied a strong northern horse. The ordanance survey map is something I have used before in a piece & I feel it gives placement. I enjoyed putting this piece together & the reaction people have given has encouraged me to continue to make my own path producing art fulltime.
